Hello,
my name is Hailey. I am the founder and Clinical Director of Roundsquare Counselling.
My interest in psychology and sociology began during childhood. Growing up in a large, multicultural family sparked an ongoing fascination with the complex personalities, conflicts, attachment patterns, and contrasts between individual and collective experiences around me. I completed a Bachelor of Social Work in 2014 and held diverse roles in Mental Health and Substance Use and the Justice System while simultaneously starting a family. During my own therapy, I discovered my passion for counselling and the intimate work of helping people find and navigate meaning, understanding and self-acceptance within their experiences. I went on to pursue a Master's in Counselling Psychology and became a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.
There is no 'one-size-fits-all' approach to counselling, nor is there a perfect time to start.
However, it's often during 'low' points that we begin to question our experiences and the path forward.
If you are in 'a low', you are already tougher than you think; you will face no greater challenge than remaining in this space.
I invite you to take a small step forward toward what you want, even if you're afraid - the courage to do so will become your greatest strength.
